Happiest Day of the Year
A recent International study claimed that June 20 was the happiest day of the year. Apparently the feeling of optimism caused by the combination of lighter evenings, the prospect of holidays and memories of childhood summers is at its peak on June 20.

Free Tickets to Culinary Extravaganza
In this spirit of celebration we are offering free tickets to Chefs & Wine Experience on July 13, 2008 which features top restaurants, culinary personalities, and TV personality Ted Allen. The event is being hosted by the Downtown Partnership.
Two tickets will be given to the 10th and 100th person to respond to our email blast.

Summer Picnics and Grand Openings
Fortunately the event business is booming despite the recession. Summer is a good time to plan a corporate picnic, host a client appreciation day, or launch a new product.
Catering and production costs are very low for these summer marketing and HR events.

Extraordinary Ideas for Picnics
Schedule the picnic for a weekday evening. You will get better attendance as it will not conflict with daytime scheduling for children with soccer and lacrosse practice. 20-30 year olds will be more likely to come as this is the time that they enjoy going out. Try a fun theme like "Havana Night" with Mojito's and Carribean music. If you bring children provide interactive teambuilding games with a south of the border twist.
